Hi, my name is Grace. Here’s some quick facts about me to catch you up.

I am first year law student at Fordham Law school in New York City. (It still feels so strange to write down!)

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with degrees in Journalism and Communication Arts and a minor in Digital Studies. Hence, the interest in writing and blogging.

My best friend is my cat, Monty. He’s coming to New York with me! My other best friends are my siblings (Livvy and Reese) and my boyfriend (Daryn). You might hear about them in my blog posts.

I was on the UW Dance Team for four years, and now that I’m done, I need another creative outlet to occupy my time – and so graceinthecity.blog was born.

Like every other human in their twenties, I have a lot of thoughts and emotions and a burning desire to be heard. This blog is a place for me to document my experiences in this new phase of life, record my feelings, and share everything that’s going through my head as I move to NYC. I want this space to be raw and authentic. More like a personal journal than a blog. It’s a little scary to have my inner thoughts out there – but is anyone going to really read this anyway? (Probably my mom, hi mom!) If you are reading, enjoy!
